Returning for their 16th year, the Le Cheile
Festival will be taking place in Oldcastle, Co. Meath this August bank holiday weekend.
With over forty acts taking part in the festival comes in the shape of the hotly tipped Walking On Cars. Winners of last year’s Red Bull Bedroom Jam competition, the Dingle act are quickly gaining fans throughout the country after appearances on “Other Voices” and “The Late Late Show”. Having taken to the stage at Oxegen and Vicar Street, Keywest are one of the hottest bands in Ireland right now and it is only a matter of time before they make it on the international scene. Children’s activities will be taking place all weekend, with street markets, art exhibitions and many other forms of entertainment to suit everyone. A campsite will be located in the centre of the town but if camping isn’t your
thing return buses will be running from Navan, Cavan, Mullingar and Kells. For full details on this year’s events, including details on support acts, Garden Stage acts, artists, exhibits, children’s activities check out the Le Cheile website or Facebook.
