There is no stopping Donegal natives, Mojo Gogo, this year as their popularity soars with each passing day. This brilliant, energetic band has critics fawning over their work along with a rapidly growing legion of fans. They are quickly gaining a reputation for putting on a wild, thoroughly entertaining show with the ability to interact with their crowd and whip them into a frenzy. Award winning editor of Hotpress Magazine Niall Stokes has described Mojo Gogo’s live show as a cross between Bruce Springsteen and The E Street band fused with the Clash.
“The music world is Mojo Gogo’s for the taking… Their live show has already become the stuff of legends” – Hot Press Magazine
Their unity as a band is evident in their performances and their honest approach to writing about some of the more unsavoury aspects of life is refreshing into today’s somewhat commercial music industry.
2014 looks to be an action packed year for Mojo Gogo; their new EP “Streets, Backseats and Envy” was only released in recent weeks and has already received critical acclaim with Hotpress Magazine calling them one of the country’s most exciting unsigned acts. The band have also filmed their segment for RTE music show Other Voices with their performance due to air on RTE 2 on April 13th.
The band are set to headline at popular Dublin music venue The Academy 2 this coming Saturday April 5th and have numerous gigs lined up for summer festivals. Mojo GoGo recently confirmed that Aranmojo, the annual music festival organised by the band in their home county will be taking place for the third consecutive year.
Mojo Gogo will be taking the festival scene by storm this year with confirmed performances already announced for The Barndance Festival in Dublin, The Mai City Festival in Wessling, Germany, The Sea Sessions Festival in Bundoran and The Lanzarote Music festival to name a few.
