The Coronas and Walking on Cars to Rock Out at Galway’s Big Top

The Coronas and Walking on Cars to Rock Out at Galway’s Big Top

Two of Ireland’s most in demand bands; The Coronas and Walking on Cars are set to perform together on July 19th at The Big Top Galway, as part of The Galway Arts Festival.

The Galway Arts Festival, which was founded in 1978 is Ireland’s largest annual arts festival. The festival collaborates with artists, agencies and organisations worldwide to present a breath-taking spectacle of music, theatre, literature, comedy, dance and visual arts. The festival which will take place between the 14th and 27th of July, is expected to showcase over 500 musicians, artists, performers and writer from all corners the globe.

The headline performance by The Coronas and Walking on Cars will take place in the specially commissioned “Big Top” tent which will be located on the picturesque banks of the Rover Corrib. Both bands had a stellar year last year; The Coronas supported Bon Jovi at Slane Castle and were the headline act for The Rose of Tralee festival whilst Walking on Cars saw a meteoric rise to fame with a fully sold out Irish tour and this is before they have even released their debut album. 2014 is also looking to be a major year for both acts with sell out shows abroad over the coming weeks. It would appear that home grown Irish talent is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Tickets for The Big Top cost €43.95 including booking fee and are available from Ticketmaster now.
